Dr. David MorganDr. David Morgan grew up on the south side of Indianapolis and graduated from Southport High School in 1967. He earned his DVM from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1973. After college he practiced in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for four years before returning to Greenwood, where he established Academy Animal Hospital in 1977. |
Dr. Tracey VinsonNorth Vernon, IN is Dr. Vinson’s home town. She completed her undergraduate work at Anderson University where she also played basketball. Dr. Vinson attended the School of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University and graduated with her DVM in 1996. After practicing “back home” her first year, she joined the staff of Academy Animal Hospital in 1997. Dr. Vinson and her family are members of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, and both of her children attend the St. Barnabas school. The Vinson family is active in CYO sports through St. Barnabas and the Edgewood Little League. |
Dr. William BlevinsDr. William Blevins, a radiologist from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, is available on an as-needed basis for consultation on X-rays and ultrasound results. |
Dr. Erica McNaulDr. Erica McNaul grew up in Independence, IN and graduated from Purdue University twice. She completed her BS in wildlife and fisheries from Purdue, her Masters in wildlife and fisheries from Pennsylvania State University, and her Doctor of Veterinry medicine back at Purdue. As a wildlife biologist, Dr. McNaul has worked with many different species from gopher tortoises to wood ducks. She is a Major in the US Army and has participated in humanitarian missions in several countries. On these missions, she has consulted with local veterinarians about various problems, such as bat bites in cattle in South America. Dr. McNaul has been deployed to Europe as a veterinarian where she participated in food safety studies, cared for military working dogs and assisted with the general care of soldiers’ animals. |
Dr. Greg BorlikA native of Indianapolis, Dr. Borlik grew up attending North Central High School where he competitively ran cross country and track. He lived in Bloomington, IN for four years obtaining his bachelor’s degree in biology, as well as a minor in business from Indiana University. Dr. Borlik joined Academy Animal Hospital in 2007 after graduating from the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine. He lives in Indianapolis with his family and two dogs, Cubby the Boston Terrier and Vincent the Bichon Frise. In addition to his family and his pets, Dr. Borlik enjoys outdoor activities such as running, playing basketball, gardening, and grilling. He has had extensive experience in various small animal general practice and emergency hospitals throughout Indiana. Dr. Borlik’s special interests include: surgery, critical care, diagnostic imaging, and dentistry. |
Dr. Joe HolderOne of the members of the first graduating class of Purdue’s School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Holder has practiced on the South side of Indianapolis for many years. He joins our team for some special surgical procedures. |
Dr. William R. WidmerDr. William R. Widmer is a board-certified veterinary radiologist engaged in diagnostic imaging interpretation for veterinarians. He is also a Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he has been a faculty member since 1988. Upon graduation from Purdue in 1969, he was a private practitioner for 15 years before returning to Purdue for a combined graduate program and radiology residency. He earned a Master of Science degree in 1986, a residency certificate in 1987 and was awarded Diplomate status by the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 1988. Dr. Widmer was granted sabbatical leave in 1996 and 2003 to study magnetic resonance imaging and helical computed tomography at the Indiana University School of Medicine. His resume` includes collaborative research on various forms of arthritis, intervertebral disk disease and urinary bladder cancer in animals, and authorship of numerous scientific articles, proceedings and abstracts. Dr. Widmer has contributed numerous textbooks, including the Textbook of Veterinary Diagnostic Radiology, edited by DE Thrall. Teaching endeavors at Purdue University includes courses taught at the Schools of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy. He is a frequent lecturer at state, national and international venues and has been active in the American College of Veterinary Radiology. |
